US Autonomous Vehicle Advances, Regulators Approve Driverless, Steering And Pedal Cars

The autonomous vehicle industry in the United States (US) has just reached an important milestone in supporting its own country’s technology industry. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has granted an exception to Zoox, Amazon’s robotaxi company, which effectively approved its vehicle for the use of demonstrations even though it does not have a traditional steering wheel, pedal, or manual control.
