The role of artificial intelligence in Google’s self-driving cars
Google’s self-driving car project, now known as Waymo, was launched in 2009 with the goal of creating a fully autonomous vehicle that could safely transport passengers without human intervention. The project has since evolved and Waymo has become a separate company dedicated to developing self-driving car technology.
