First UK trial of driverless shuttle buses a ‘success’ in Cambridge

The trial of a driverless shuttle bus in Cambridge has been hailed a success, with almost all passengers saying they would travel on the vehicle again without hesitation.

Some 304 passengers travelled just over 1,000km aboard the autonomous shuttles during June as project leaders Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP), Smart Cambridge, and engineering firm Aurrigo sought to see how the technology could be included within public transport networks in the future.
