Driverless cars traveled 3.3 million miles in California in 2023
Data on vehicle testing released on February 2 by the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) showed that in California in 2023, completely driverless vehicles traveled nearly 3.3 million miles, which was over five times the total in 2022.
