Copenhagen to be the first European Capital with self-driving car sharing
Danish electric car-sharing company GreenMobility has signed a non-binding letter of intent with U.S. autonomous vehicle developer Tensor, reserving the option to acquire up to 2,000 self-driving cars for use in Denmark once legislation allows. GreenMobility’s agreement with Tensor — one of the leading developers of AI-driven autonomous vehicles — positions the company to be at the front of the queue when Danish rules permit large-scale deployment. According to CEO Kasper Gjeldsted, there are only around 5,000 autonomous cars operating globally today, making early access a strategic priority.
