City of Athens expresses interest in becoming test site for self-driving shuttle
The city of Athens has expressed interest in becoming a testing ground for autonomous, or self-driving, vehicles. DriveOhio, a newly-formed division of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), is seeking communities that could possibly test autonomous vehicles sometime in the future, in an effort to expand the technology and infrastructure throughout the state.
