Chinese automotive chipmaker Black Sesame’s Huashan A2000 clears US review hurdle
Chinese automotive chip designer Black Sesame Technologies’ Huashan A2000 chip has passed reviews by US authorities, paving the way for its global roll-out. Built on the advanced 7-nanometre process, which was ready for mass production in January 2025, was subject to US scrutiny “due to its ultra-high performance”, the company said in a post on its website on Monday. Currently, the field is dominated by US giants like Nvidia, with its chips used heavily for advanced driver assistance systems or autonomous driving systems in China.
