Scania demonstrates autonomous truck precision

Scania has completed a demonstration in which two autonomous trucks moved toward each other in sync to create a window of less than a second for a professional mountain biker to jump through. Red Bull athlete Matt Jones successfully jumped between the two self-driving vehicles in what the company described as a world first. The project involved teams from Scania, Red Bull and PlusAI and was planned and executed over several months with advanced software development, practice sessions and safety checks. Scania said the demonstration showcased the precision of its autonomous technology.
