Bosch-led research project develops vehicle communication system
A consortium led by Bosch has completed the ConnRAD research project on connected automated driving systems. The three-year project developed methods to assess the reliability of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication for automated driving functions, the company announced on 13 November. The project team developed mechanisms allowing communication partners in road traffic to verify and evaluate reliability and suitability. Based on this evaluation, a receiving vehicle’s system decides whether transmitted information is qualified and trustworthy to support safety-critical driving functions.
