Self-Driving Car Design Faces Accessibility Blind Spots, Study Warns

In 2025, self-driving cars are no longer the stuff of science fiction. In the U.S., companies like Waymo are already operating robotaxi fleets in major cities such as Phoenix, San Francisco and LA. Meanwhile, in the U.K., the Automated Vehicles Act came into law last year, formally greenlighting the way for driverless vehicles on British roads and pilot services to run from 2026.
